XSW Salt Ultrafine Pulverizer is a mechanical impact mill designed for the high-capacity production of fine salt powder. Unlike traditional grinders, it integrates a high-speed rotor and an internal air classifier. For salt processing, we specifically focus on the material’s corrosive nature and hygroscopicity (moisture absorption) to ensure continuous operation without clogging or rusting.

Material & Engineering Details of Salt Ultrafine Pulverizer

Corrosion Resistance: All contact parts are constructed from SUS316L or SUS304 stainless steel. Given that chloride ions cause rapid "pitting corrosion" in carbon steel, our internal grinding chamber and classifier wheel are precision-machined and polished to ensure longevity and food-grade purity.


Thermal Control: Salt tends to absorb moisture if the temperature rises during grinding. The XSW system operates under negative pressure with a high-volume air stream that cools the material instantly, preventing the salt from "sweating" and caking inside the mill.


Internal Air Classifier: No screens are used. Particle size is controlled by the speed of the classifier wheel (VFD regulated). This allows you to produce Flour Salt (approx. 200-325 mesh) with a very narrow particle size distribution.

Technical FAQ of Salt Ultrafine Pulverizer

Q1: What grade of stainless steel do you use for salt?

A: We recommend SUS316L for salt applications. It has higher molybdenum content which provides significantly better resistance to sodium chloride compared to standard SUS304.


Q2: How do you prevent the salt from clogging the system?

A: The system is designed for negative pressure operation. The high air-to-solid ratio ensures that particles are always in suspension and moving fast enough to avoid settling or clumping, even in humid environments.


Q3: Is the fineness adjustable during operation?

A: Yes. By adjusting the frequency (Hz) of the classifier motor on the control panel, you can change the fineness of the salt powder without stopping the machine.


Q4: What is the required input moisture level?

A: For ultra-fine grinding, salt moisture should be < 0.5%. If the salt is damp, it will stick to the classifier blades regardless of the machine type.
